团队围绕优异基因挖掘、育种平台构建和新品种选育等研究方向,针对水稻种业发展的前沿科学问题,主要开展水稻抗逆抗病虫优异基因挖掘与分子功能解析、分子设计育种平台构建和高产优质多抗绿色超级稻新品种培育工作。克隆水稻抗白叶枯病、抗二化螟、抗稻纵卷叶螟、抗条纹叶枯病、抗旱、耐盐、耐热、穗粒数等基因,构建了全基因组选择预测软件/模型MFMGP、水稻智能育种平台“Rice3kGS”和基于影响穗颈节维管束相关性状的产量和外观品质相关基因同步提高粳稻产量和品质的分子设计育种策略,相关研究成果在Molecular Plant、Science Bulletin、Plant Biotechnology Journal、Plant Communications、Journal of Integrative Plant Biology、Plant Journal等期刊发表SCI论文29篇,授权国家发明专利7项、植物新品种保护权4项、审定品种13个(其中国审5个),成果转化收入486万元。
